BT to recruit for nearly 200 apprenticeships and graduate jobs in North East. BT Group was ranked second in the Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers in the UK in 2023 and now it is on the lookout for new talent.
BT is looking to hire almost 200 apprentices and graduates to work in its offices across the North East. The company will recruit talent for roles in a number of areas, including those designed to support the UK’s fast-growing digital sectors.
Jobs will be located at the recently refurbished BT bases in North Tyneside, Darlington, and Gosforth, as well as the Newcastle office. The positions will start in September 2024, with a total of 190 roles on offer.

The breakdown of the new jobs is as follows:
>>> 97 based at North Tyneside
>>> 75 based at Darlington
>>> 12 based at Gosforth
>>> 6 based in Newcastle
BT Group said it is one of the UK’s largest private-sector apprenticeship employers and has recruited more than 3,000 apprentices and graduates over the past five years. The company offers apprenticeships ranging from level two, the equivalent to GCSE standard, to level seven, a master’s degree.
In 2023, BT Group was ranked second in the Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers in the UK and has pledged to build a more diverse talent pool.
