Newcastle Company Lines up New Investment
A Newcastle-headquartered traffic management company is investing more than £500,000 in the opening of two new depots. Hatton Traffic Management operates across the UK from five regional sites, offering a range of services including street works, high-speed motorway closures and large-scale event traffic running.

The two new depots – in Warrington and in Wigton – are the company’s first in the North West. The move comes as Hatton Traffic Management was appointed to Cumbria County Council’s Traffic Management Framework, which is worth up to £1.5m over four years. The openings are set to create 30 full-time jobs.

Tom Bailey, managing director of Hatton Traffic Management, said: “On the back of the [framework] win we are keen to continue to increase our presence in Cumbria and across the North West where we have already completed a number of large scale projects. “The opening of our new Wigton and Warrington depots is a significant milestone towards achieving this and will help to further increase our capacity in the region, as well as generate local employment opportunities.”
