Greggs is launching a pop-up sausage roll dispensing ATM in Newcastle city centre for one day only. Greggs is celebrating its partnership with Monzo with the ATM on Grainger Street.
The pop-up will be open between 9am-5pm today, Thursday 18th July, with the ATM dispensing Greggs Sausage Rolls and Vegan Sausage Rolls for free. As well as this, every 100th customer to use the machine, dubbed the ‘ATMmm’, will receive a special treat, a £50 Greggs High Roller gift card, courtesy of Monzo and Greggs.
Monzo’s data has revealed that 2.3 million customers have spent over £70m on Greggs in 2023, with 80,000 Monzo customers having received a free Sausage Roll treat.
As part of a brand campaign, two bespoke ATMs will be placed side-by-side, with one being a regular machine displaying an ‘out of order’ message. The other will be a hot coral ‘ATMmm’, which will give users the option to select either a Sausage Roll or Vegan Sausage Roll.
For those unable to make it to the Newcastle event, Monzo customers nationwide can enjoy a free weekly Greggs treat by signing up for Monzo Perks or Max. This event was created with London creative studio ‘Uncommon’, who recently launched Monzo’s first above-the-line advertising campaign in over five years.
